Let the Irish Journey Resume...

No, your eyes don't deceive you... an Irish dandelion,
exhibiting the same tenaciousness
as their American counterparts!

And, likewise tenacious, Ivy.

The Craft Court at Malahide Castle in Dublin

Now we're talking ("busman's holiday")!
Michael's Garden Centre in Dublin,
with the proprietor keeping vigil.

After the "wide open spaces" that our local garden centers
seem to require, it's interesting to see how the wise use of
limited space, in city environs, can yield attractive displays.

Judging by the handles, those are probably some nice stainless
shovels or spades, leaning on the wall...
looks like an intriguing little spot!

Special thanks, once again, to S.R. Calef for the great ©2007 photos!

I'm enjoying this Irish trip ... the garden centre looks great, as does the craft place. I bet there isn't a place on Earth, or on the moon probably, where the Dandelion couldn't find a way to grow!

Now if I could only get Ivy to grow outdoors here, I'd be happy.

Thank you Deb, for this wonderful respite. It does make me ache to travel...

I love the Snow brigade theory! If that's what keeps the squirrel brigands at bay, "Sculpt on!" ;-)

The likelihood of that seems slight, as our temperatures have been below zero for quite some time. Hope there's relief soon. I had to come indoors to warm my hands (even while wearing the warmest gloves I have!) three times while mixing food and filling the bird feeders this morning. ow! ow!

And the birds love having fresh water. They drink it so quickly, I must replenish it often!

Off to see your new site and that about hot air ballooning (which I Love!)
