I love crocs. I wear mine all the time they are great.
Was hoping to get out to the garden today but the wind, cold temp's, and rain is keeping me away. Guess that makes me a fair weather gardener.
Hope all is well.

Shady - You don't know the half - it's a great place to work... but constitutes cruel and unusual punishment, when you have to leave it all there at the end of the day. Still, it's fun to help other folks find all the garden goodies!

Ralph - Sounds like we've had similar weather. Lots of cold, rainy, windy weather... with just a few sunny springlike days sprinkled in there. It's hard to really settle down and tackle any sizable project. When it rains I write, when the sun pops out, I garden.

I have decided to keep my Crocs for casual wear, in the interest of sparkling white socks. I have ruined more white socks, with all the soil pouring through the holes... grubby & dingy, even after bleach. I've gone back to work boots for gardening and I have the spiffy white socks to prove it.

Well, enough of this... time to do a little blogging - maybe post something NEW for a change.

I'll be looking for your new blog, "The Fair Weather Gardener."

Deb,
I love those crocs and I wear them mostly in the garden. Which is a good thing as far as my husband is concerned. I was going to wear them to the town meeting on Saturday and he blanched. He wanted to know if I wanted to be "some kind of character". I sighed and put on plain black flats, but pointed out the two characters wearing crocs. It doesn't matter what we're wearing when we vote after all.

Pat - You made me laugh and you might point out that while you could wear Crocs to the town meeting, you can't wear those black flats in the garden, so Crocs are the best value in shoe wear. My only complaint, is the dirty white socks issue (see my response to Ralph, above, where I got a little carried away about the whole topic).

On Sunday the 4th, as you were listing neat garden gift ideas for Mother's Day, I was posting my gift preview list - often the same item you were discussing... talk about great minds, or wavelengths!

Thanks for dropping by, Pat!
