As we prepare to wrap up Christmas 2008, I'd like to thank Corliss Bros. Garden Center and Nursery for all the photo opts. It's easy to outline all the gift possibilities you'll find at a garden center, with this selection. I've enjoyed photographing and sharing this holiday season!

A true gardening wonderland!
I agree with Angie. Beautiful! I have been busy feeding our birds suet. It is the only thing I can reasonably see buying since sunflower seed prices exploded. Glad you showcased the birdbath heater. I tried to plug mine in yesterday and the extension cord was frozen solid with ice, I fixed it and hope it is working in our 9 degree temperatures-but no snow so that is a bonus.
Thanks, Angie! "Tough job, but..."
Tina ~ We had about the same temperatures, here! Glad to read your comment about the birdbath heater - often folks don't realize how essential water is to our backyard birds. Your suet comment is interesting, as I had come to the same conclusion. I'm putting out a few cakes, but mostly raw suet - I have a huge cage that holds 4# at a time... woodpeckers love it!
Several weeks passed and I weakened, buying a 10# bag. What was I thinking? Now, it starts in earnest! Put it out between weekend storms and I have all the "regulars" back... what HAVE I done?
Oh well, we didn't really need to eat this winter... we'll hibernate while the birds (and squirrels) feast on a daily basis.
The squirrels are on their last ears of dried corn, on the whirlygig thingy - fun to watch!
Well, back out for more shoveling!
(And bird feeder filling.)
Deb !! I have a great BIG smile on my face from this tour of bird goodies ! I especially love the gnome accessories : )
This was like walking around a wonderful cyber store and wow .. did I enjoy it too ! Thanks !
Hey .. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year girl : )
Joy ~ Glad you enjoyed the "window shopping!" This was the last of the series (in addition to those I posted on 'Corliss Clips') and all were fun for me to post, as well.
Those little gnomes are pretty cute and I agree about the bird supplies... so much to choose from, these days!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! Let's hope a great '09 gardening season.
happy christmas
Pete ~ And a Happy Christmas to you. Here's to a healthy, Happy New Year!
