Suggested Reading...

While I'm busy working on the February 'Corliss Clips' newsletter for a few days, I didn't want to leave you with stale, old postings, so Lucy-Maude has stepped in. She just posted a piece called, "Winter Musings... for Canines Only. " (Thanks for the back-up, Lucy!) It includes 44 new photos, which you and/or your canine should find interesting. Have Fun!

Just click on "DOG'S EYE VIEW" for transport.

I found Lucy-Maude's post very entertaining, and her wardrobe just too, too much! You sure do have snow up there. Thank heaven it's staying up there - so far.

Bobbie ~ It's all about layers, up here in frigid New England... for Lucy, too. We'll try to keep the snow up here. This is the first time this season we're going a whole week without snow. It's such an unusual occurrence, that the weatherman used it as his lead story the other night.

Deb, I seem to remember the all-out squirrel war that was waged here last year! This post of Lucy's brought back a memory. :-) She's too cute for words! (Does she ever wear anything on her feet in this cold?) Sidney got so cold the other day, he just sat down in the driveway and I had to carry him back to the house!

Shady ~ Good memory... Simon P. Squirrel and his cohorts are alive and well and running amok by Lily Pond. Feeding them keeps them away from the feeders (somewhat!), so the birds get a chance. Lucy has figured out how to fly down the stairs and around the corner of the shed, without making a sound... some very surprised squirrels... we may be having squirrel stew, one day soon.

I bought her "Mutt-luks" several years ago, but they just don't fit. They're her size, but her dainty little princess feet are so narrow, that her feet slide up above the sole and she's trying to walk on the cuff. So, I have to watch her for the first sign of freezing toes, and carry her back inside... glad she's only 17 pounds! Tell Sidney to be careful out there! Lucy's worried.

Angie ~ Thanks! Lucy's got even more action shots, performing watchdog duties, over at her blog. Busy gal, these days!
