Saturday, April 10th... the day before Easter Sunday
was cold, windy and rainy... typical Spring in
New England weather. But, inside the garden shop,
everything was in full bloom!

Jackie worked her own particular magic,
creating some wonderful, artistic spring baskets!

All the Easter lilies were majestic and a few,
like this one, had over 20 blooms and buds.

Cheerful, perky Cineraria...
the perfect way to brighten a gloomy day!

Great armloads of blue from Hydrangea macrophylla!
(Most likely
H. macrophylla Hortensia -
the greenhouse hydrangea.)

Gardenia

Indoor Azalea

Prettier with the stamens intact, although removing them
resolves the petal staining that usually occurs.

Mother...

Baby and...

Father Bunny......

Wish one and all a Happy Easter
and joyous spring season!

Such beautiful displays! I'm really crazy about that basket! Spring has definitely arrived in the garden shop.
Hi Deb, I'm sure you've been busy at the store... sure looks enticing! :-) Did you have a nice Easter weekend? Hopefully your Mom is doing well. Does she love Lucy-Maude as much as you? We recently returned from a trip to AZ. What a wonderful, balmy respite. Now I can enjoy my Spring even more!
Bobbie ~ Glad you enjoyed! Despite the cold, wet weather on Saturday, a few hardy gardeners were shopping for newly-arrived nursery stock. But it was the garden shop that was a beehive of activity... we were all happy to enjoy the hues and scents of spring, from the inside looking out.
Shady ~ Yes, the excitement has been building, and the days growing busier, as each day finds newly-arrived nursery stock and perennials. Lots of activity indoors, with the continuation of seed starting, lawn care programs being designed for each homeowner and a myriad other garden activities.
How exciting that you traveled to Arizona! We're overdue here, for some of that balmy weather... anything left over to send our way? We've had just about enough of the cold wind, not to mention recent cold rains. Welcome to spring in New England!
